I am very excited to announce that I have been chosen as one of 15 bloggers Modenus is taking to New York City tomorrow as part of BlogTourNYC! Before I set off, I thought a bit of an introduction was in order…
Modenus is a resource for the interior design industry, offering a place to network and find inspiration. Every so often, they take a group of design and lifestyle bloggers from one part of the world, to a major design destination in another part of the world, and organise an eye watering itinerary jam packed with design goodness. Modenus and their sponsors cover all expenses, and in return the bloggers are asked to write about what they see – sounds like a fair deal to me!
I am excited about spending five days with such a fabulous group of people – and thank you to the lovely Carole for putting together the montage above. In case you don’t already know them, they are Stacey Sheppard (1), Hannah Coleman (2), Arianna Trapani (3), Cecy Brooks (4), Will Taylor (5) David John (6), Emily Peck (7), Kelly Morisseau (8), Marilyn Russell-Grant (9), Andrew Dunning (10), me! (11), Kate Baxter (12), Pippa Jameson (13), Carole King, (14), Toma Clark Haines (15). Follow on twitter with the hashtag #BlogTourNYC.
And I am excited about seeing gallons of amazing design, one of my favourite cities and lots of Helvetica!
Before we take off, I also want to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to Veronika and Tim from Modenus for asking me to come along, and to Modenus and the sponsors for making it all possible. I can’t wait!
Sponsors from top left: Jenn Air, Ethan Allen, Axor, Miele, Blanco, Rotsen Furniture, Poggenpohl, Modern-Aire, Scholtes, Du Verre, Spirit of Sports, Big Ass Fans(!), Samuel Heath, Vitra, Victoria and Albert Baths and Wallunica. (Thank you so much to Justine at paintmydog.co.uk for the lovely note paper image making all those logos look so fabulous too!) And Wallunica have kindly asked me to be their representative on the ground, so I’ll be tweeting from @wallunica and updating the wallunica Facebook Page, so keep an eye on those too!
