Ross Lovegrove Solar Tree CDW2012

I am delighted to announce that confessions of a design geek is the official blog partner for Clerkenwell Design Week again this year. Now in it’s 5th year, this local festival of design never fails to delight – and the sun usually comes out to play too. The fun starts tomorrow.

Superhero Rabbit Ham

I’m super excited about new show Additions, featuring small design items and interior accessories, and brands like HAM, Lovely Pigeon and Custhom. Keep an eye out for my interview with Lovely Pigeon’s Kirsty Thomas on the blog tomorrow.

Clerkenwell Design Week

I’m looking forward to Platform, the new name for the House of Detention, and the place to spot new designers. I can’t wait to see what The Cass have got in store, and I’m looking forward to seeing the Camberwell Collective in person, having featured their work on the blog last week. And of course, Design Factory at the Farmiloe Building looks set to be awesome as always.

Paulo Goldstein

At 12.30 on Tuesday 20th May, I’ll be interviewing Brazilian-Italian designer-maker-artist, Paulo Goldstein at the Desso showroom, 23-25 Great Sutton Street. Make sure you book your slot. And at 1pm on Thursday 22nd May, I’ll be “In Conversation With” Sir Kenneth Grange in the Farmiloe Building, which I’m two thirds incredibly excited about and one-third absolutely terrified about, but that’s the way with all the best things you do in life I think! It’s free, but you will need to book a ticket if you want to come along. Hope to see you there!
