Karen Morgen's porcelain

out and about :: tramshed

This article was published 15 years

This year was the first time I’ve made it to Tramshed, so it was lovely to see a mix of designers I was familiar with and some that were new to me. It’s primarily a trade show (supported by the Society for British Interior Design) based just around the corner from Tent London. Here are a few of my favourites…

Benjamin Hubert's Pod

I love blue. I love grey. I love chairs you can hide in. Benjamin’s Hubert‘s ‘pod’ was a sure-fire winner for me.

Karen Morgen's porcelain

I also love contradictions, so the way the form of these beautiful Karen Morgan pots somehow belies the brittle nature of the porcelain really intrigued me.

Miranda Watkins Gleam Bar

I’ve featured Miranda Watkins‘s cocktail set on the blog before – she’s now extended the range to include a full barware set and plans for ice buckets and the like are also in the pipeline.

Becky Baur

I love the trend for cushions with personality and so I was really quite taken with Becky Baur‘s work – if I’m not careful my sofa will start to look like a circus auditioning couch!

Leif.designpark chair

And I’ll leave you with one more chair, this one from Leif.designpark.
