As I’m sure you are aware, I published a book in September. It’s called Interviews and it’s a collection of eighteen conversations with designers; from illustrators and graphic designers to product and furniture designers; and from recent graduates to design Gods like Wim Crouwel.
A few people have been asking about the production process, so I thought I’d share a little ‘making of’ film I made (using animoto.com if you’re interested!). Be warned – it does have (slightly silly!) music.

The book was printed in Cornwall using a four colour litho process with a two colour cover on FSC approved stock. It was designed by the fabulous Zander at Venn Creative, who I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a blog or book designer. I grew up in Cornwall and the creative industries are really flourishing there, so I was keen to keep it Cornish!

If you don’t have your copy of Interviews yet, you can buy it at the V&A Reading Rooms, the Design Museum shop, and lots of independent book shops across the country – and of course directly from me. (And if you’d like to stock it, do get in touch.) 50p from every copy sold will be donated to Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres. (Registered charity number: SC024414.) Maggie’s helps people to live with, through and beyond cancer by providing practical and emotional support out of beautiful cancer caring centres based all over the UK.
