here’s one i made earlier :: greetings cards

I have to confess I am finding it harder and harder to find time for the little creative projects I write about in this series. I have made these little cards, so I thought I’d share them with you – a birthday card, a new home card and a Mother’s Day card (don’t look Mum!)

But I thought I’d also take the opportunity to ask how other people make time for projects like these. Having a creative outlet is important to me – and I think being creative outside writing makes me a better writer. But much like running (and baking!), it’s often difficult to make time for non-urgent things.

Stephen Covey would advise me to schedule them in at the beginning of my week before everything else takes over. I know a writing agency who designate every tenth working day a time to get out of the office and get inspired. Have you got any tips to share? How do you make time to be creative?
