photos of numbers :: 37, 5 & 49

A bluey-grey selection for you on this Friday afternoon. The first one is one of my absolute favourite number finds – it’s the shadow of a number etched into a glass door in London’s Kensington. I was so excited when I spotted this one!

Three polaroid style photos of numbers, a shadow a 37 etched in a glass door, a black five with a star incorporated into the design, and a slightly rusty 49

The middle one is another one of my favourites – spotted in San Francisco two years ago. I just love the way the star has been created out of the negative space in the curve of the 5 – a beautiful bit of typography. And then something altogether more rustic (or just rusty!) on number 49.

Keep your number submissions coming to katie [at] confessionsofadesigngeek [dot] com and I’ll include them, with a credit of course, in the coming weeks.

(Thanks as always to Ian Barnard for the Polaroid templates.)

This article was published 11 years I find white incredibly calming. Given that I’m surrounded by colour and pattern all day, it’s perhaps no surprise that my bedroom is, and always has been, all white. But even all-white schemes need a little something – lots of different textures and perhaps…
