Face-o-mat Tobias Gutmann

I am delighted to announce the fourth BRINK designer –  Konsfack University graduate Tobias Gutmann and his magical Face-o-mat! I met Tobias in Milan in April of this year and was instantly smitten with his fabulous creation. Face-o-mat is a portrait painting machine, powered by Tobias himself – he creates incredibly original portraits based on a combination of your face, the selections you make using the dials on the front, and a collection of images he has stuck up on his side for “face lifts”. Insert your money into a slot, make your selections and your portrait will come out of another slot three minutes later! It’s ingenious, innocent and playful and I’m delighted it’s going to be part of BRINK.

BRINK is a showcase of 2013 graduate talent at Tent London (stand E02) 19th – 22nd September 2013. I will be posting more news on how it’s coming together and announcing the remaining six designers over the coming weeks, so watch this space!
