I love Cornish design studio Green and Blue‘s bee blocks, launched at Home London in January and designed and handmade in the UK. Designer Gavin Christman says, “Inspired by solitary bees’ use of holes in old walls for laying their eggs, we’ve created a safe year-round nesting site that can be positioned anywhere in the garden, or built into new buildings and walls.” By using these blocks to replace traditional building bricks in new constructions, developers can replace the bee habitats they are removing, which can only be a good thing.
