Last night was the official launch party for Fiera Magazine and it was fantastic! Over 100 people came along to The New Craftsmen and we broke through the £3k mark, putting us at 25{ff546b69e23b1524d799f96c6ba7a638e1f677053b0a2a1568b05315fd5f8fc7} of our funding target within just four days of launching! Amazing!

I want to say a huge thank you to those of you who came along. To have over 100 people turn up for the launch meant so much to me, it was actually slightly overwhelming (especially when The New Craftsmen co-founder Natalie Melton suggested we hopped up onto the table to say a few words – talk about shaky knees!). The design industry is full of such generous, supportive, talented and passionate people and I consider myself very lucky to be able to make my living working with them.
I also want to say a massive thank you to Natalie and the team at The New Craftsmen – and to Green & Pleasant, our drinks sponsor of the evening. Both were crowd-funded themselves so they have a unique insight into the roller coaster of emotions that Jeremy and I are experiencing right now. They both agreed to help immediately and unreservedly, despite the fact that the stunning New Craftsmen shop was still a building site when I called Natalie to pitch the idea to her. And another big thank you to my team of helpers for the evening: Caroline, Daisy, Belinda, Jo, Leyton, Clare, David and Jess – we couldn’t have done it without you.
But the biggest thank you goes to those of you who have pledged so far. I love working with new designers because they still believe in the impossible – a belief which is clearly contagious! I would love the opportunity to give them a platform, so their ideas can reach a wider audience – and that will only happen if we hit our funding target and make Fiera Magazine a reality. So, don’t put it off until tomorrow – pledge now and pre-order your copy of Fiera Magazine on Kickstarter.
