I am rushing around like a mad thing trying to see as much of London Design Festival as possible, but I didn’t want to neglect my little blog, so I thought I’d try to at least share a few photos of each day’s events and then I’ll come back and blog in more detail when the madness has died down a little bit! Yesterday I went to the twentytwentyone showroom to see the The Wrong Shop Editions, featuring prints by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and Pierre Charpin. (They were still setting up, hence the spirit level in shot!)

I was then lucky enough to interview Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. They were absolutely fascinating and I can’t wait to share the interview with you. For people who say they don’t like to talk about their work, they are incredibly eloquent and a joy to talk to.

After that, I headed over the Lee Broom‘s Crystal Bulb Shop. It is decked out like a traditional grocer’s shop, right down to the sawdust on the floor, with details like apple crates full of crystal bulbs, glass display cabinets with crystal bulbs suspended from the ceiling hanging down into them, and old fashioned weighing scales, you guessed it; full of crystal bulbs! It was a fabulous space.

Here is my guide to the rest of week. Bring on day two!

I’m so glad you’re covering design week because i’ve had gastroenteritis since sunday night and am still too sick to go out. I’m missing all the events I’ve been looking forward to for ages so am living vicariously through your blog. So thanks – and stay healthy!
