Today’s round-up covers Tent London, 100{ff546b69e23b1524d799f96c6ba7a638e1f677053b0a2a1568b05315fd5f8fc7} Norway and designersblock – what an awesome day! I really liked Tent this year – definitely one of my highlights of LDF, so much so that three of the five pictures below are from Tent! First up, Mini Moderns have launched a range of paint, but not any paint, it’s recycled paint! Seriously! Left over paint is collected from tips and dumps and then mixed to the exact colour required – so the resulting paint could be half Farrow and Ball, a quarter Dulux and a quarter B&Q – who knows! What is for certain though with Keith and Mark in charge is the results will be gorgeous.

Next – I loved JAILmake‘s stand – their studio recreated in miniature. I still have a flyer from their stand at the first Tent I ever came to up above my desk and it inspires me every day, so it was lovely to see them. Keep your eyes peeled for a creative spaces post on the full size studio coming soon.

And I feel completely in love with Piers Saxby Candy‘s work. He makes or finds every element himself – the light shade is plaster cast in a jelly mould. More on him to come too.

Confusingly, 100{ff546b69e23b1524d799f96c6ba7a638e1f677053b0a2a1568b05315fd5f8fc7} Norway is now at Tent, not 100{ff546b69e23b1524d799f96c6ba7a638e1f677053b0a2a1568b05315fd5f8fc7} Design, and not quite actually at Tent, but just around the corner. Either way, I found it and I’m really glad I did. It exuded understated Scandinavian calm and poise. My favourite piece was this gorgeous Benkt blanket by Victoria Gunzler and Sara Wright Polmar.

And last, but certainly not least, was designersblock – a wonderful meandering space that somehow managed to restore curiosity and imagination to tired minds, and the desire to keep exploring to tired feet. I loved Lauren Baker, who after a decade in events and marketing went travelling, met a shaman and had a vision that she should become an artist – so she came home, quit her job and that’s exactly what she did. Her work is a fabulous contrast of dark and feminine and I love it. Definitely one to watch.
