Carolina Peraca

I am delighted to announce the fifth BRINK designer – Carolina Peraca. I saw Carolina’s work at the Central Saint Martin’s graduate show and was immediately captivated by it.

Her marbled boxes are created by gently mixing slip into the clay before it’s fired. Inspired by the shapes she finds on her travels around the world, her work focuses on “the beauty and simplicity of form and functionality” and often consists collections of pieces that can be combined in groups or used alone.

I love her understated aesthetic and am delighted to have her work as part of my BRINK curation at Tent London.

BRINK is a showcase of 2013 graduate talent at Tent London (stand E02) 19th – 22nd September 2013. I will be posting more news on how it’s coming together and announcing the remaining designers over the coming weeks, so watch this space!

Beautiful pieces – definitely award-winning. Everything about them is perfect: the pared shape, the swirled slip mix, the colour palette and the mix of the materials used for the lids – is that copper and bronze? Do you know where these will be on sale?
