ColourRun / ColorRun

There are all sorts of things you can do to improve your creativity and productivity from sticking a plant on your desk to implementing the Stephen Covey method, but sometimes there’s nothing quite as effective as taking the weekend off, letting your (multicoloured) hair down and just having a blast, which is just what I did last weekend…

ColourRun / ColorRun

The Dulux ColourRun (or ColorRun – it started in the States!) is a 5K run, during which you get covered in a different coloured powder every kilometre. It sounds a bit daft, and it is, but they’re not wrong when they call it the “happiest 5K on the planet.” It was soooo much fun! I took part with a team of designers and design bloggers to raise funds for Out Of The Dark – a fantastic social enterprise that teams skilled furniture makers with troubled young people to pass on skills and build confidence. It was the most fun I’ve had in a very long time – and I felt utterly refreshed returning to my desk on Monday morning. So a massive thank you to Zoe, Will, Toby, Kate, Pippa, Jo and Caroline for that. I highly recommend doing something silly just for the fun of it this week.
