Designblok, Prague

It’s been a whirlwind of a month – I flew to Prague for Designblok and then straight on to Poland for the Lodz Design Festival. (Coming soon to an “out and about” post near you!)

I saw some really exciting work from up-and-coming designers and met lots of fascinating people – some of whom have agreed to translate their fascinatingness onto paper in the form of opinion pieces for the magazine, so we have even more great content.

As soon as I got back, it was straight into the magCulture studio for a planning session with Jeremy and Jese, and it’s really exciting to start to see a magazine emerging from all that content. I’m particularly excited about a photo essay from Adam Hollier, documenting the people who make design festivals happen behind the scenes. The photos look great on screen and I can’t wait to see them in print.

There’s a lot of work still to do, and one more design fair to visit – the Biennial Interieur in Kortrijk, but it’s starting to take shape.

We’re still on track to deliver the magazine at the end of November, so if you haven’t pre-ordered your copy yet, do that now! And watch this space for more updates.
