design for good :: lostfound

LostFound

LostFound is a concept by Evan Gant – a ‘lost and found’ system for the modern age. 3D-printed hooks placed within the community, alongside social media, connect people with the things they’ve lost.

Attention grabbing red hooks are designed to be attached to sign posts and chain link fences, which can be found in most urban environments. When you come across a lost item, you just hang it on the nearest LostFound hook, and post with a picture and location on Twitter or Instagram using #LostFound and the location specific hashtag found on each hook. The owner of the item can track it down by checking social media to see if anyone has come across their missing item.
