out and about :: collect

Last week, Design Geek was invited to London’s Saatchi Gallery for the preview of Collect, the ‘international art fair for contemporary objects’ from the Crafts Council. It’s not our usual stomping ground, but ever keen to get out of our comfort zone, we went along to check it out. It raised interesting, and sometimes uncomfortable, questions about the boundaries between art, craft and design, so we thought we’d share some of the objects that captured our attention here… Enjoy!

Founding Editor – Katie Treggiden

Having established confessions of a design geek in 2010, Katie Treggiden has gone on to a career in design journalism, writing for titles such as The Guardian, The Telegraph, Elle Decoration, Stylist, Design Milk and Ideal Home. In 2014, she launched Fiera, an independent magazine dedicated to discovering new talent at the world’s design fairs. Her second book, Makers of East London, was published in 2015.
