Wrong for Hay LDF13

On a rainy day in London the day before London Design Festival‘s official start, I found myself in a beautiful 17th Century townhouse in central London, at the launch of Wrong for Hay. A brave title for a new collaboration between Sebastian Wrong and design brand Hay.

Sebastian Wrong is founding member and former Design Director of Established & Sons, founder of The Wrong Shop, and product design lecturer at the Royal College of Art.

Hay is the Danish darling of design bloggers and stylists everywhere, probably most well-known for their neon neutrals by Scholten & Baijings.

Wrong for Hay is a new design venture based in London under the creative direction of Sebastian Wrong. The first collection includes lighting, furniture, textiles and accessories, designed by Sebastian’s studio and by established and emerging designers.

Hay’s ethos of “good design at accessible prices” still applies, and the venture draws on London’s “creative energy, eclecticism and talent.” What a great sentiment to start the London Design Festival on – it seems Wrong might be just right for Hay!
